Yeast peptone carbon medium

    General growth medium, can be supplemented with whichever carbon source is appropriate for target organism
    - Common carbon sources:
        - 20 g glucose
        - 20 g sucrose
        - 15 ml glycerol
        - 20 g mannitol
        - 10 g succinate

Recipe:

1. 980 ml DI-H~2~O
2. 10 g peptone
3. 5 g yeast extract
4. 20 g glucose
5. 15 g agar
6. Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
7. After cooling:
   • Pour 20 ml liquid agar into 100 mm petri plates
     • (unless making broth, then don't do that, it will be a mess)
