Standard medium plus starch

Recipe:

1. 980 ml DI-H~2~O
2. 5 g tryptone
3. 2.5 g yeast extract
4. 1 g glucose[^Note]
5. 1 g starch
6. 15 g agar
7. Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
8. After cooling:
   • Pour 20 ml liquid agar into 100 mm petri plates
     • (unless making broth, then don't do that, it will be a mess) +++ [^Note]:Glucose can be substituted for any taxa preferred carbon source
