Nitrate mineral salt medium

Recipe:

1. Add 700 ml DI-H~2~O to flask or bottle
2. Add the following to the DI-H~2~O:
   • 1.0 g MgSO4 * 7H~2~O
   • 1.0 g KNO~3~
   • 0.2 g CaCl~2~ * H~2~O
   • 0.1 ml Fe-EDTA
     • (3.8% (w/v) stock solution)
   • 0.5 ml NaMo * 4H~2~O
     • (0.1% (w/v) stock solution)
   • 1.0 ml Trace element solution
3. Adjust volume to 989 ml with DI-H~2~O
4. Add 15 g agar
5. Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
6. After cooling add the following:
   • 10 ml phosphate solution
   • 1 ml Vitamin stock solution
7. Mix gently, but thoroughly.
8. Pour liquid agar into petri plates - (unless making broth, then don't do that, it will be a mess)
