Malt extract medium

    General growth medium for cultivation and maintainence of various fungi and some bacteria and yeast

Recipe:

1. 20 g malt extract
2. 1 g peptone
3. 20 g glucose
4. 15 g agar
5. Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
6. After cooling:
   • Pour 20 ml liquid agar into 100 mm petri plates
     • (unless making broth, then don't do that, it will be a mess)
