hypersaline medium

    - For the cultivation of halotolerant microorganisms
        - such as halotolerant archeae

Recipe:

• 250 g Nacl
• 20 g MgSO~4~ * 7H~2~O
• 3 g Na~2~-citrate * 2H~2~O
• 2 g KCl
• 5 g casamino acids
• 5 g yeast extract
• 980 ml DI-H~2~O
• Add 15 g agar
• Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
• Pour agar into petri plates
  • (unless making broth, then don't do that, it will be a mess)
