Dichloran Rose-bengal Chloramphenicol Dextrose agar

• DRBC agar can be purchased as a premade powder
• For the isolation of fast growing filamentous fungi and yeast.

• Enriches the isolation of Fusarium and Trichoderma fungi from soil environments.

  ** Note: DRBC broth can be constructed by omitting the agar **

Recipe:

1. Add 998 ml DI-H~2~O to a 2L flask or bottle
2. Add the following components to the DI-H~2~O:
   • Add 5 g peptone no 3
   • Add 10 g dextrose
   • Add 1.0 g KH2PO4
   • Add 0.5 g MgSO4
   • Add 2.0 mg Dichloran
   • Add 25 mg Rose Bengal
   • Add 0.1 g Chloramphenicol
   • Add 15.0 g agar
3. Autoclave at 121 °C and 15 psi for 30 min.
4. Pour plates
